Growing and producing our own hay gives our clients confidence they are purchasing a high quality product, suitable for their specific application. We also source hay from a trusted selection of other producers, both locally and interstate, when seasonal conditions create greater demand for fodder. Our customers can rely on us to provide them with what they need, when they need it, year in and year out.
Our commercial clients include dairy farmers, beef cattle, sheep and lamb producers, feedlots, and the equine industry throughout NSW, Victoria and Queensland.
BVHay also provides transport options which ensures quality control and an easy process from first enquiry to on-site delivery for our customers.
Our share farming and contracting services cover the whole process, from growing, cutting and baling the crop, to sales and transport.
About us
Belubula Valley Hay is the hay production arm of Kinsela Agriculture, a family business owned and operated by Martin and Helen Kinsela, located at Canowindra in Central West NSW.
The rich alluvial soils of the Canowindra district and unique self-watering river flats of the Belubula River are the perfect place to produce excellent hay and fodder. High quality pure lucerne, premium quality cereals, pasture hay and other seasonal varieties are grown to suit a wide variety of fodder requirements for our customers.
BVHay offers commercial hay sales and transport, together with part or full service contracting and share farming options for baled hay, haylage and silage.
Our experience
The Kinsela family have been farming and producing hay in the region for over 3 generations so you can be assured of our expertise, top quality products and first rate service. Sustainable farming practices and modern equipment are utilised to achieve high quality bales with maximum benefit to our customers.
As both a producer and direct user of fodder, we understand first hand what our clients need, and take great care and pride in providing the right product for all situations.
With 100 years of combined experience in agriculture and the hay industry, you could say we know a little about hay.
Reviews
In our dairy business we are always looking to source top quality fodder for our milking herd, with feed
specifications being extremely important for milk production. With Belubula Valley Hay we are able to lock in our
hay requirements for the year in advance and have confidence that our order will be filled and that we will
always receive A1 quality feed. We have found BVH to be very professional, dependable and flexible in meeting our fodder requirements, and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering buying from them.

For over 25 years, The Pines partnered with the Kinsela family on a handshake deal to share farm and manage a
lucerne hay production block at Canowindra. Through drought and flood the Kinselaโs have provided us with both
the quantity and quality of hay we have needed to sustain our dairy operation. Their hard work and open
communication enables us to control our feed management program for both the long and short term. Although that property is now sold, we continue to source our hay from Belubula Valley Hay.
